Arrange valid photographic ID and supporting documents
The staff at test centres regularly turn people away because of problems with their registered photographic identification and personal information. Make sure you read our guidance on registering your ID.
The preferred method for identifying yourself is an eVisa share code. If you do not have an eVisa share code you can instead use:
- a Biometric Residence Permit or Biometric Residence Card – these can be used for 18 months after they have expired
- your Passport – this must be in date
- a European Union, European Economic Area or Switzerland Identity Card – this must be in date
- a Travel document – this must be in date
Test centre location and travel route confirmed
Make sure you note your test centre address and phone number and have planned your travel arrangements for getting to the test centre.
Pass the test and celebrate!
