UK Border Agency launches new website
The UK Border Agency (UKBA) has launched a newly redesigned website which aims to provide a better service for applicants in the UK and abroad. The new site will bring together all the UKBA's online content into one place for the first time.The new website was launched on 4 September 2011 and features a new homepage and improved structure. The new site also now includes all of the information previously found on the Visa Services website. Most of the 200 country websites hosted by the Foreign & Commonwealth Office and overseas commercial partners have also been included, with the remainder to follow by the end of September.
Information about settlement and Indefinite Leave to Remain can now be found in the Settling in the UK section of Visas and Immigration in the main menu.
Information about Citizenship can be found in the new British citizenship section.
Visas for non-EU nationals
The new Visas and Immigration section contains detailed information about all available visa categories for non-EU nationals. For each visa type there is now information about the following:
- the eligibility requirements
- the supporting documents that you should provide with your application
- application forms for use inside and outside the UK
- application fees inside and outside the UK
- links to information about the application process in your country
