Tier 2 allocations made for April 2011
The UK Border Agency (UKBA) has announced that the first monthly allocation of sponsorships under the revised rules for Tier 2 was made on 11 April 2011.The breakdown of the number of applications granted and received has been published on the Allocations of restricted certificates of sponsorship page of the UKBA website. All valid applications that scored over 32 points on the new points test were successful.
Of the 4,200 places available only 1,028 were granted. This means that over 3,000 are carried over to May so a total of 4,672 will be available next month.
Applications were accepted up to 6 April and the allocation took place on 11 April. Applications received after 6 April will be allocated in May.
