Test fee increased for Life in the UK test

The cost to sit the Life in the UK test has increased to £50, from £34, from 1st June.

The UK Border Agency have presumably increased the fee with immediate effect to increase revenue from the Test. The announcement has been made on the Booking the test page of the official Life in the UK Test website

It is important that you take note of this increase and ensure that you have enough money to pay the fee when you go to take your test.

Given the recent rises in visa application fees and the review of naturalisation and citizenship processes later in the year, it is possible the fee will rise again.
