Phone lines now closed for biometric enrolment
As announced last week, the phone lines for postal applicants in the UK booking appointments to enrol their biometric information closed today. From now on if you have to book an appointment you must do this online. The UK Border Agency (UKBA) have guidance on how to register an account and book your appointment online on the Booking an appointment (postal applications) page of their website.
The UKBA have introduced new email services to replace the helpline numbers (0300 123 2412 and 0300 123 4699) which have closed down and these are:
- .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) if there is an issue with the delivery of your biometric residence permit
- .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) if there is an error on your biometric residence permit
- .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) to report the loss or theft of a biometric residence permit; and
- .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) if you are an employer or sponsor and you want to confirm that a biometric residence permit is valid.
The only alternative to the email services listed above is to send in enquiries to the UKBA by Freepost, which means that you will have to wait for a written response. Postal enquiries can be sent to this address:
