From 2 July 2007, all candidates taking the Life in the UK Test must study from the new 2007 materials.
Ufi Learn Direct, the organisation responsible for managing the Life in the UK test centres, has confirmed that it will introduce the revised Life in the UK test using a three month transition period. The transition period will allow test applicants to choose to sit either the current or new Life in the UK Test depending on which materials they have studied from.
The Home Office aims to phase out the current Life in the UK test. The last day that it will be possible to take the current test will be sometime in September 2007. The new test will be available to take from 2 April 2007.
The Home Office have advised test applicants that they need to be sure they choose the correct materials for their test. Red Squirrel Publishing produces the following materials can be used to study for the old test.
