New Tier 1 (Post-study work) forms and policy guidance published

New forms and policy guidance have been published for the Tier 1 (Post-study work) routes which should be used for all applications made on or after 18 July 2011.

The UK Border Agency (UKBA) advise that the new forms and guidance should be used with immediate effect. They will continue to accept applications made on the old versions of the application forms until 9 August 2011, however.

Trainee doctors on the Foundation Programme with permission to stay in the UK under Tier 4 can also now switch to a Tier 1 (Post-study work) visa up to one month before the end date of the programme.

The updated forms and guidance are available below. Today’s changes have also required some changes to the Tier 2 forms and guidance. Included in the below links are tables summarising the changes.
