New priority visa services launchedNew priority services have been launched for countries across the world, providing access to new services which will let you speed up your visa application.
The priority visa services are optional. For a fee, the service means that your visa will be processed ahead of normal visa applications (but behind anyone submitting a similar priority application ahead of yours). Using the service does not guarantee approval and if your application is refused your fee will not be refunded.
Applicants from the following countries will be able to use the priority service as detailed:
- Bolivia - details can be found on the World Bridge additional services page
- Trinidad and Tobago - details can be found on the Trinidad and Tobago page of the UKBA website
- Vietnam, from 1 October 2013 - available to business visitors who meet specific criteria and all Tier 1 and Tier 2 visa applicants and accompanying spouses and dependants under 18. For more details see the Vietnam page of the UKBA website
The service in Thailand is also being extended. With effect from 1 November 2013 the priority service can be used for all business visitors as well as Tier 1 and Tier 2 of the Points Based System. More information can be found on the VFS website
These new priority services have already been running in Russia and Asian countries since March 2013. It can be expected that the priority system will continue to be expanded to other countries.
