Dominica and St Lucia visa waivers
Following a review of visa requirements the UK the government has confirmed that visitors from St Lucia and Dominica will still be able to travel to the UK without the need for a visa. The review was completed last year and as part of this the government was considering introducing restrictions for the eastern Caribbean countries. However, in a joint statement from the Home Secretary and the Foreign Secretary made on 2 March 2011 it has been confirmed that these restrictions will not be brought in to effect.
As a result of ‘concrete improvements made to the immigration, border control and identity systems’, visitors from these countries will continue to be able to travel to the UK without applying for a visa.
