Test centres will no longer offer the option to take the old Life in the UK Test from 15 September 2007.
Applicants planning to take the old version of the Life in the UK Test must make sure they pass their test before 15 September. After this date, test centres will only be able to offer the new test. After 15 September, any applicants that have not been able to pass the old test will need to start studying the materials for the new version of the test. The new version of the test is based on a different set of study materials. Although they have similar chapter names, it is not possible to use the earlier editions of any Life in the UK guides as many facts and statistics have been updated. Applicants studying from an earlier edition run the risk of failing their test caused by learning incorrect or out-dated course material.
Test appointments must be booked at least one week in advance of taking the test.
