Biometric visa ‘clinic’ to open in Amsterdam
The UKBA have announced a new biometric data collection centre will be opened in Amsterdam to allow people to apply for UK visas.The centre will open on 15 August 2011 and will enable visa applicants to supply the required biometric information without having to travel to the visa application centre in Düsseldorf.
Visa applicants will be able to apply online using the online visa application system as before but will now also be able to book an appointment in Amsterdam to submit biometric details. The clinic is run by WorldBridge and its address is:

The clinic will be open Monday to Friday from 10:00 to 14:00 and you should only go there if you have an appointment. Appointments will also be subject to a service fee of €147.56 in addition to the visa fee. Customers will be supplied with a pre-addressed envelope to post their application to the UK Border Agency offices in the UK for consideration. Passports and supporting documents will be returned directly to the applicants by courier once we have decided whether to grant a visa.
It is not compulsory to use the new Amsterdam centre. You can still choose to apply direct through the centre in Düsseldorf.
