Appeal rights for family visitor visa decisions revoked

With effect from 25 June 2013 the right to appeal a visa decision for a family visitor visa has been revoked.

Anyone who applies to enter the UK as a family visitor on or after the 25 June 2013 no longer has the right to appeal a refused decision. The only exception is if the appeal is on the grounds of human rights or race discrimination.

The decision was announced at the end of April and brings the family visitor visa category in line with other visitor categories.

Full details, including the revised forms and guidance documents, can be found on the Family visitors page of the UKBA website.
